BDSwiss Sponsors Telethon 2022 Fundraising Concert

The names of BDSwiss and Telethon appearing in the same sentence should not surprise anyone. Our relationship and contributions to one of the most sacred events of the CSR calendar is well-documented and this year is no exception. 

We consider Telethon to be one of the most important initiatives in Cyprus, and we do everything in our power to support this noble cause. This year, we decided to sponsor a spectacular show with the charismatic performer Takis Zacharatos and his group of artists. The show was titled “Strangers in the Night”, and had already been a huge success in Greece.

The concert took place at the Municipal Theater of Nicosia on the 25th of this month and all proceeds from the show will be donated to the Cyprus Institute of Neurology & Genetics (CING). In the show, the unique Takis Zacharatos, with his interpretative comfort, impersonated a series of famous Greek and foreign artists in an evening full of humor and sparkle.

This is yet another initiative to add to our Corporate Social Responsibility efforts. Giving back to society and helping people around us is not a slogan or tagline for BDSwiss. This is something we’re committed to and our actions speak louder than our words.

About Telethon
Telethon is a yearly fundraising effort put together to support the efforts of The Cyprus Institute of Neurology & Genetics (CING) — a private, non-profit, bi-communal, medical, research and academic center. It’s a celebration of joy, giving, and solidarity. Every year with the message “Your offer gives hope”, hundreds of volunteers organize artistic, educational and entertainment events with enthusiasm and passion, sending a message to the people who need it so much in the difficult times they are going through.

The events want to spread a message of support, recognising that we are all humans and that we all have the right to life and hope.

Telethon is an annual international charity event that started in the USA and quickly expanded to many European countries including France, Italy, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, etc. It mobilizes the efforts of hundreds of thousands of volunteers and raises awareness among millions of people around the world. The great purpose is to support patients but also to find the appropriate and effective treatment of neuromuscular, genetic and other diseases.
